Royd Minstrel Floorstanding Speakers - Black

Here we have an example of the Royd Minstrel. the most well-known loudspeaker Joe Akroyd made. Launched in 1993, the Minstrel was a short, compact floor standing speaker that also featured a side reflex bass port. Our pair are in fully working condition but are showing signs of their age, with a few minor blemishes - please refer to photographs. They will be suitably packaged and come with our regular three month warranty.

The Minstrel is a versatile loudspeaker which may be used on shelves, wall mounted or floorstanding, for which a base complete with spikes is available.
Designed for use with a very wide range of amplification, it is equally at home with a digital or analogue source.
The Minstrel is also unfussy as to its placement in the listening room and is therefore the ideal answer to acoustically difficult locations.
The new side ported reflex design allows for the adjustment of bass response by choosing to have the ports face each other or a side wall.
The Minstrel benefits from Royd’s ongoing research and development program and builds on the technical advances incorporated in the acclaimed Royd Abbot. In addition to the use of mass damping and resistive bracing, the Minstrel includes an innovative diaphragm construction for the bass unit, which has been developed with the use of the latest techniques of computer impulse analysis. This has resulted in the speaker capturing the full range and power of bass in recorded music without sacrificing any of the clarity and detail contained in the mid-range.
These technical advances are clearly audible in the quality of the sound production of the Minstrel, making it an excellent choice for all high fidelity home entertainment systems.

Carriers

We despatch the bulk of our UK mainland items on a 24 hour service.  Non-Mainland locations – Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Scottish highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland may take a day or so longer. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail 24 or special delivery. Larger items are delivered using a courier service such as UPS and occasionally by a Pallet service.
