About Marantz

Marantz was founded in New York in 1953 by Saul Marantz, whose early equipment is still regarded as some of the finest ever made. The PM and CD series cover most budgets and are widely available on the used market. The Model series and Ruby range step up to more serious performance. Marantz is now part of Sound United alongside Denon, and the two brands share some engineering while maintaining their own characters.
