About Quad

Quad was founded by Peter Walker in London in 1936 and spent decades developing loudspeakers and amplifiers that prioritised accuracy and low distortion above everything else. The Quad ESL, launched in 1957, was the first commercially successful full-range electrostatic loudspeaker and remains in production in evolved form today. The Quad 303 and 405 power amplifiers are considered British hi-fi classics.
