Roksan has been making hi-fi in London since 1985, building a reputation for turntables and amplifiers with a distinct character of their own. The Xerxes turntable competed directly with the Linn LP12 from launch and attracted a fiercely loyal following. It is still regarded as one of the best sounding decks of its era. The Caspian integrated amplifiers developed that reputation further, and the current Attessa range continues it. Pre-owned Roksan occupies an interesting position: well respected by those who know it, and frequently available at prices that do not fully reflect the quality of the engineering. The turntables in particular, including the Xerxes and the later Radius series, represent excellent value in a market that tends to focus on Rega and Linn.

About Roksan

Roksan was founded in London in 1985 by Tufan Hashemi. The brand made its name with the Xerxes turntable, which was designed as a direct competitor to the Linn LP12 and attracted considerable critical and commercial success. The Caspian series amplifiers followed and established Roksan as a full-line hi-fi brand. The current range includes the Attessa streaming amplifiers and CD transport. Roksan is now part of the IAG Group and continues to be developed in the UK.
