Pre-Owned Rega Hi-Fi Equipment

(14 products)

Rega Research has been making turntables in Southend-on-Sea since 1973. The philosophy has not changed much since then: build the best possible product at each price point and make it last. The Planar 3 has been refined across multiple generations into one of the most musically satisfying turntables you can buy at any price. The Planar 6 and Planar 8 push things further, while the Planar 1 and Planar 2 bring the same thinking to a genuinely accessible starting point. Beyond turntables, Rega makes amplifiers in the Brio and Elicit series, phono stages, cartridges and tonearms, all produced at the same Essex factory. Pre-owned Rega is consistently excellent value. The same manufacturing quality that makes new Rega worth buying makes used Rega a confident purchase.

About Rega

Roy Gandy founded Rega Research in 1973, and the company has been manufacturing turntables, tonearms, cartridges, amplifiers and phono stages from its factory in Southend-on-Sea, Essex ever since. Every tonearm is made in-house, which is a genuine commitment to quality at a time when most manufacturers outsource. The Planar 3 is probably the most successful British turntable of its generation, combining engineering simplicity with real musical conviction. Rega amplifiers, particularly the Brio, follow the same thinking: keep it simple and get the things that matter right. Rega remains fully independent.

Why Buy Used Rega?

Rega is a simple, reliable, musically focused brand, and that makes used Rega one of the lower risk purchases in this hobby. A well cared for Rega turntable or amplifier has very little that can go wrong and a great deal that is right. The strong following Rega has built means the used market is well stocked and sensibly priced. Buying used Rega is not a compromise. It is a known, trusted product with years of real world proof behind it.
