Pre-Owned Cyrus Hi-Fi Equipment

(3 products)

Cyrus Audio has been making hi-fi in Huntingdon since 1984. The compact half-width chassis the brand is known for is not a design compromise. It is a deliberate engineering decision that lets Cyrus produce technically accomplished amplifiers, DACs and streamers in a format that fits where full-width equipment will not go. The i-Series integrated amplifiers, from the i2 through to the i9-XR, consistently surprise buyers who are new to the brand. Pre-owned Cyrus is frequently underpriced relative to what it actually does, partly because Cyrus does not carry the name recognition that Naim or Linn have in casual conversation. For buyers who look beyond that, it is one of the most rewarding finds in the used market.

About Cyrus

Cyrus Audio was founded in 1984 in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, originally as part of Mission Electronics before becoming independent. The half-width chassis has been central to the brand from day one, letting customers build compact systems and stack components cleanly in spaces where full-width boxes will not fit. Cyrus has consistently developed its own amplifier technology across the i-Series and XR ranges, covering integrated amplifiers, DACs, CD players, phono stages and streaming products. The company is still based in Huntingdon and continues to make technically ambitious equipment.

Why Buy Used Cyrus?

Cyrus does not always carry the premium of better-known names, and that is exactly what makes the used market interesting. A used i7-XR or i9-XR delivers amplifier performance that would cost considerably more from most other brands at the equivalent new price. The half-width format is a genuine differentiator for anyone with limited space. Used Cyrus is outstanding value for anyone prepared to look a little harder than the obvious choices.
