The Roksan Kandy LIII Series, released in 2005, built on a strong legacy of innovative design and audio excellence. This iteration, comprising an integrated amplifier, power amplifier, and CD player, was a refined upgrade from its predecessors, dating back to the first Kandy model introduced in 2000. Following the MkIII in 2003, the Kandy L.III took the series to new heights in 2006 and 2007 with significant internal enhancements while maintaining its iconic steel and aluminium chassis.
The most notable improvements in the Kandy L.III were found in its redesigned double mono power stage. The layout was carefully revised, repositioning the power supply to reduce interference and deliver more consistent power to the internal components. A powerful 500 VA toroidal transformer, new capacitors, and updated wiring contributed to a cleaner, more efficient operation. These thoughtful changes not only improved the technical performance but also delivered a noticeable improvement in sound quality, with enhanced transparency, clarity, and three-dimensionality that outshined competitors at a similar price point.
The integrated amplifier stood out with a generous array of connections, including a phono input for MM cartridges - a nod to Roksan's roots in turntable manufacturing. The Kandy L.III’s careful attention to the phono stage and earthing, as well as its upgraded OP amps, allowed for a warm, precise vinyl playback experience. Its rear panel even featured inverted input labels for easy visibility, a retro touch that harked back to the golden era of hi-fi design.
The award winning Kandy LIII Integrated Amplifier is designed to set the benchmark for punch and clarity for amplifiers at this level. Kandy’s solid construction encompasses a stylish looking aluminium facia and steel casework. Features include five line inputs, one tape loop, a moving magnet phono stage, two pre outs, headphone socket and a pair of speaker terminals.
Internally, the Kandy’s two identical mono power amp sections provide a powerhouse of 120w/channel of clean output that confidently defines the lower frequencies and captures the deep bass notes with vigour. This amplifier is particularly transparent ensuring delivery of subtle detail within a spacious three dimensional soundstage.

Carriers

We despatch the bulk of our UK mainland items on a 24 hour service.  Non-Mainland locations – Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Scottish highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland may take a day or so longer. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail 24 or special delivery. Larger items are delivered using a courier service such as UPS and occasionally by a Pallet service.
