Naim HiCap Power Supply

The HiCap is one of Naims’ products that has passed into the realms of a real “Classic”. The British electronic experts first introduced it in 1984 and it has been steadily improved over the years. It has also followed the traditional path of being first available with the “Chrome Bumper” finish (as here), then “Olive” and now of course “Classic”. Our example dates from 1987, is in good fully working condition, noting a couple of minor blemishes - please refer to photographs. It is supplied in original factory packaging and comes with SNAIC cable, mains cable plus of course our regular three month warranty.

An adequate and correctly designed power supply is extremely important for the performance of the preamplifier. Use of a remote supply allows correct earthing to be used and also ensures hum-free operation. The 90 and 140 power amplifiers have suitable regulated supplies for the pre¬ amplifier built into them, but optional use of the HiCap power supply will bring improved performance to the whole system.
The HiCap is a dedicated dual 24V supply designed for use with the 62 and 72 preamplifiers or the NAXO electronic crossovers for use in active systems. It powers a single piece of equipment at a time. This large very quiet dual supply will allow the preamplifier to reach its fullest potential. When using the 135 or 250 power amplifiers the HiCap power supply is a standard requirement within the system.

Shipping Rates

We calculate your shipping rate based on the total weight of your items and your delivery address. Standard shipping to the UK Mainland (excludes Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Channel Islands) is free, except where specifically indicated. Don't worry, you'll always see the final shipping charge displayed before you reach the payment step (on the checkout page).

Carriers

We despatch the bulk of our UK mainland items on a 24 hour service.  Non-Mainland locations – Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Scottish highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland may take a day or so longer. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail 24 or special delivery. Larger items are delivered using a courier service such as UPS and occasionally by a Pallet service.
