Naim HiCap Power Supply (1998)

Here we have a midlife specification HiCap power supply from British specialists Naim Audio, dating from 1998 and suitable for powering a number of their other components. The HiCap is another one of Naims’ products that has passed into the realms of a real “Classic”. It has been in production since 1984 with just a few upgrades over the years. And of course, it has followed the traditional path of being first available with the “Chrome Bumper” finish, then “Olive” (as here) and now of course “Classic”. It is in good fully working condition and comes boxed in original Naim packaging with a SNAIC cable included plus, our normal three month warranty.

An adequate and correctly designed power supply is extremely important for the performance of the preamplifier. Use of a remote supply allows correct earthing to be used and also ensures hum-free operation.
The HiCap is a dedicated dual 24V supply designed for use with the 62 and 72 preamplifiers or the NAXO electronic crossovers for use in active systems. It powers a single piece of equipment at a time.
The 90 and 140 power amplifiers have suitable regulated supplies for the preamplifier built into them, but optional use of the HiCap power supply will bring improved performance to the whole system.
This large very quiet dual supply will allow the preamplifier to reach its fullest potential. When using the 135 or 250 power amplifiers the HiCap power supply is a standard requirement within the system.

Standard shipping to the UK Mainland (excludes Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Channel Islands) is free, except where specifically indicated. Carriers

We despatch the bulk of our UK mainland items on a 24 hour service.  Non-Mainland locations – Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Scottish highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland may take a day or so longer. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail 24 or special delivery. Larger items are delivered using a courier service such as UPS and occasionally by a Pallet service.
