Linn Kolektor Pre Amplifier

The Kolektor is a Linn modular, expandable and supportable product that offers low noise and high quality audio performance and satisfies international safety and EMC standards. The new ten input Linn Kolektor is a versatile high fidelity preamplifier designed to manage and control the ever increasing number of sound source formats with an easy to use, high quality, simple, flexible control system that can also accept an optional RS232 interface card.
The Kolektor combines high precision solid state switching with electronic gain control and has surface mounted components to maximise signal integrity and minimise noise.
On the Kolektor the low noise phono stage is precision equalised, fully integrated and electronically switched to avoid any mechanical connections in the sensitive phono signal path. A separate headphone amplifier is used to drive high quality headphones without compromising signal quality in the main audio path.
The Kolektor has more facilities than a conventional Linn preamplifier. The tone controls fitted to the Kolektor are also very different from normal bass and treble controls. To avoid adding distortion the bass control has maximum effect at 40 Hz and the treble at 20 kHz so that they only operate at the boundaries of the audible audio band. This facility enables the subtle refinements to a playback system that discerning listeners need to adjust the sound of passive compact loudspeakers and allow a system to be flexibly located within any listening room and to suit every type of music.

Carriers

We despatch the bulk of our UK mainland items on a 24 hour service.  Non-Mainland locations – Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Scottish highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland may take a day or so longer. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail 24 or special delivery. Larger items are delivered using a courier service such as UPS and occasionally by a Pallet service.
