Here we have a high grade IS Reference Integrated Amplifier from French company Lavardin. This well regarded unit is in very good condition with just some very minor wear and comes in original factory packaging with mains cable and our standard three month warranty.

Lavardin Technologies designs and manufactures high end audio amplifiers using exclusive and revolutionary design concepts which radically reduce what we have named the “Memory distortion” of components.
Memory distortion of components is the greatest discovery in analogue audio design over the last thirty years. It clearly demonstrates the reasons why a good valve amplifier can beat its solid state counterpart hands down for sheer musical enjoyment. Memory distortion is the property that is the dominant factor in causing solid state amplifiers to sound shrill and mechanical. Valve technology allows electrons to travel through a vacuum which causes no storage or memory effect, but solid-state amplifiers use silicon components which keep the trace of electron flux that have passed. New electron flux will be affected by the fact that other electrons have preceded them.
As soon as the memory effect of solid-state circuits is reduced, all the improvements that transistor technology handles like, high output power, accuracy, very low harmonic distortion, extended and linear frequency response can be added to the most alive, nuanced and silky musical rendition of the best single ended mono triode design. This means that no other amplifiers can be considered the “standard” any more.

Shipping Rates

We calculate your shipping rate based on the total weight of your items and your delivery address. Standard shipping to the UK Mainland (excludes Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Channel Islands) is free, except where specifically indicated. Don't worry, you'll always see the final shipping charge displayed before you reach the payment step (on the checkout page).

Carriers

We despatch the bulk of our UK mainland items on a 24 hour service.  Non-Mainland locations – Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Scottish highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland may take a day or so longer. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail 24 or special delivery. Larger items are delivered using a courier service such as UPS and occasionally by a Pallet service.
