A higher performing DAC uses a superior converter IC plus upsampling techniques to boost sound quality of all connected digital sources. It includes six analogue inputs which you can individually name from a list of options in the set up wizard and a great headphone facility and twin speaker output for bi-wiring. Trickle Down Advanced Technology: The Cyrus 8₂ DAC Qx delivers surprising audio performance and value because it is based on the advanced preamplifier circuitry from the DAC XP Signature; benefitting from a ‘trickle down’ of our most advanced technology.
Integrated Amplifier: The bi-wire output of the 8₂ DAC Qx gives a full 88 Watts into 6 ohms. The power supply is a high current design that uses two transformers to completely separate the digital control stages from the sensitive audio signals.
Integrated ‘Qx’ DAC: The 8₂ DAC Qx features a high performance ‘Qx’ 24/192 DAC bringing optical and coaxial inputs and a driverless USB connection allowing plug and play connectivity to a PC or Laptop. The ‘Qx’ DAC is a truly advanced design bringing in upsampling DAC design from the DAC XP Signature.
Essential Connectivity: Six analogue inputs, a high quality headphone amplifier, Zone 2 and pre amplifier outputs give the 8₂ DAC Qx flexibility for connecting a wide variety of audio devices. There is also a PSX-R port on the 8₂ DAC Qx allowing connectivity of the instant upgrade off-board power supply.
Advanced Setup: The microprocessor controlled operating system in the 8₂ DAC Qx allows extensive programming of many functions within the unit. Input naming, differing display readouts and input volume matching across all sources are just some of the possibilities.
All Cyrus components are manufactured in an advanced die-cast aluminium chassis and this hand finished casework is an integral part of the products’ sound. It’s not just about good looks; the chassis composition is specifically designed to create an electronically shielded and mechanically vibration-free environment for the sensitive audio circuits which are hung inside the inverted chassis, avoiding unwanted electric currents and secondary magnetic fields so the sound you hear is the very best that it can be.

Carriers

We despatch the bulk of our UK mainland items on a 24 hour service.  Non-Mainland locations – Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Scottish highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland may take a day or so longer. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail 24 or special delivery. Larger items are delivered using a courier service such as UPS and occasionally by a Pallet service.
