Border Patrol DAC S Digital Analogue Converter - Silver

The Border Patrol DAC features an asynchronous USB input using a C-Media CM6631A chip and a S/PDIF input using a Texas DIR9001 chip coupled to a TDA1543 DAC chip used without over-sampling (NOS) and digital filtering. Output is straight from the chip with no op-amp output buffer.
The USB input is compatible with Windows, Linux and MAC. The DAC is plug and play with Mac OS, Windows 10 and most servers.
The DAC can be connected to a CD player or transport or a SPDIF equipped music server. It can replay files up to 24/96 kHz sampling rates. Output is industry standard 2.0 V RMS & Interconnects of less than 2.0 m are recommended.
A rear mounted toggle switch enables switching between USB and S/PDIF input.
There are two power switches. The rear mounted switch is the master switch, and the front mounted illuminated push button switch activates the tube rectifier. The DAC will play with or without the tube rectifier activated. For best performance, keep the DAC powered up permanently via the rear switch but turn on the tube only when listening to prolong its life.

Carriers

We despatch the bulk of our UK mainland items on a 24 hour service.  Non-Mainland locations – Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Scottish highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland may take a day or so longer. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail 24 or special delivery. Larger items are delivered using a courier service such as UPS and occasionally by a Pallet service.
