Arcam Diva P85/3 Power Amplifier - Silver

The P85 sees the introduction of totally new circuit design in its power amplifier stages. The levels of distortion and noise are significantly lower than before. The sound is more precise and open and the whole design is ready to reproduce the latest high definition audio sources, such as DVD-Audio and SACD, to the highest standards. The large toroidal transformer and heavy duty power supply ensure the amplifier has more than enough drive for a wide range of speakers.
The P85 is unquestionably a class audiophile power amplifier. Its circuit design is elegant and innovative and uses plated through circuit boards with surface mounted components. The whole amplifier is DC coupled from input to output with absolutely no capacitors in the signal path. The power supply is built around a substantial toroidal transformer, giving a continuous output power of more than 85 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 130 watts into 4 ohms. The power amplifier circuits incorporate fully symmetrical high current output stages and novel current feedback loops which dramatically reduce harmonic distortion. Put simply, the P85's technical specification is state of the art and the clever control electronics give it a supremely versatile user interface.
The power amplifier can be upgraded from stereo to three channels by adding a Third Channel Module: in this case, the model is designated P85/3. The module offers extra loudspeaker terminals together with a third set of Audio In and Out phono sockets and converts the P85 into a 3 x 85 W (RMS per channel into 8 Ω) amplifier suitable for Home Cinema or multi-channel audio use.
The P85 was designed and manufactured in the UK and available in black or silver finishes.

Carriers

We despatch the bulk of our UK mainland items on a 24 hour service.  Non-Mainland locations – Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Scottish highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland may take a day or so longer. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail 24 or special delivery. Larger items are delivered using a courier service such as UPS and occasionally by a Pallet service.
