Naturally, Technics has equipped the RS-M225 with soft-touch controls and an FL meter system with peak hold to assure that you can make accurate recordings. All this, combined with a reasonable price, makes the RS-M225 a welcome addition to almost any audio system.
With the RS-M225, you no longer have to search your cassettes for your favourite musical passages. The music select function automatically skips back to the beginning of the selection you just heard or moves forward to the start of the upcoming selection on the tape.
And with the auto-tape selector, the RS-M225 actually detects which type of tape you use (new metal, Cr02 or normal) while adjusting for proper EQ and bias settings. Thus you are assured the potential of a good recording every time. Technics has included three LED's on the front panel of the RS-M225 which light up to confirm which kind of tape is in use (red for normal, green for Cr02 and yellow for new metal tape).
What's more, you'll also appreciate the convenience of the rewind autoplay and full auto stop functions.
The RS-M225 has easy to use, soft-touch controls that are superior to the old style, piano key controls. Just a slight, but definite, pressure from your fingertip is all that is necessary to operate the cassette deck functions. The soft-touch controls also allow direct mode switching. For example, you can go from fast forward or rewind directly to play without pushing the stop button.
So there's less wear on the functions themselves and you spend more time listening to your music.
For precise recordings, the RS-M225 has an FL meter system with peak hold capability. The FL meter itself is actually eighteen fluorescent tube segments which can be easily read from across the room. And the display pattern changes above O dB for critical high-level signals.
These electronic meters help you assure that recording levels on the RS-M225 are accurate and aid in eliminating unwanted noise and distortion. Note that their response is fast with almost no chance of overshoot or delay. Peak hold capability means that the signal value and the registered peak are both indicated to you at the same time. The peaks themselves are held for 2 seconds for your convenience and then reset automatically. And, as there are no mechanical parts in this meter system, there is almost no chance of a breakdown as with traditional needle meter systems.
With an advanced record/playback head, the RS-M225 delivers an extended frequency response from 20 Hz to 18 kHz. Wow and flutter is kept to a low 0.048% WRMS thanks to Technics reliable tape transport system. And signal to noise ratio is a high 67 dB (Dolby* NR in, using Cr02 tape) so tape hiss is minimal. Carriers

We despatch the bulk of our UK mainland items on a 24 hour service.  Non-Mainland locations – Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Scottish highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland may take a day or so longer. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail 24 or special delivery. Larger items are delivered using a courier service such as UPS and occasionally by a Pallet service.
