Monitor Audio was founded in a small factory in Teversham near Cambridge, by Mo Iqbal way back in 1972. Its first loudspeaker, the MA1, was designed to produce a natural open acoustic, with very low colouration. In 1974, they added a third speaker to the MA Series, the MA5. This was a compact loudspeaker, intended for either shelf mounting or on stands, being of average efficiency and able to accept realistic power inputs. It was capable of natural speech reproduction as well as possessing the necessary bandwidth and flatness of response required to produce large scale orchestral works. Then in 1975 the series II was released, employing a KEF bass driver, this speaker was known for its full and effortless bass reproduction. Our examples are fully working and fair cosmetic condition, please refer to photographs, and will be appropriately packaged.

Carriers
We despatch the bulk of our UK mainland items on a 24 hour service. Non-Mainland locations – Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Scottish highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland may take a day or so longer. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail 24 or special delivery. Larger items are delivered using a courier service such as UPS and occasionally by a Pallet service.
