Here we have a vintage turntable from then British company Leak. Our example of the 2001 Transcription Unit Turntable is in good working condition for its age and has had the original silicone decoupling bags replaced with sorbothane pads. It will be professionally packaged and comes with our regular three month warranty.

Designed and built to the most stringent specifications, the 2001 Transcription Unit offers the finest performance and includes a number of very special features. Foremost amongst these is the unique fluid sphero-dynamic suspension system. This provides exceptionally high resistance to external shocks and vibrations in all modes, thus protecting effectively, both the sensitive pickup stylus and the record.
Substantial aluminium die cast turntable platter, lathe turned to extremely fine and accurate limits. The turntable itself is belt driven and its speed does not vary by more than 0.1% even when using a record cleaning device. Quick take up in speed: 33⅓ rpm no more than 2 seconds, 45 rpm no more than 2.5 seconds.
Low friction, low noise, long life bearings and precision ground centre spindle, honed to 0.2 micro-metre finish.
Anti-static turntable mat. This is designed to hold all diameters of record correctly and drive them from the rim, thus eliminating slipping caused by bowed or warped records.
Precision engineered pickup arm with low mass headshell, low friction bearings, anti-skating bias and calibrated tracking pressure adjustment providing maximum performance. Viscous damped, remotely controlled, pickup lift/lower device with gentle action.
Low consumption, slow speed, 10 pole synchronous motor: mounted remote from tracking area of pickup ensuring virtually no induced hum, even with the most sensitive cartridge. Speed accuracy is not affected by even large variations in supply voltage.
Lift off and hinging dust cover: can be lowered safely while unit is playing.

Carriers

We despatch the bulk of our UK mainland items on a 24 hour service.  Non-Mainland locations – Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Scottish highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland may take a day or so longer. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail 24 or special delivery. Larger items are delivered using a courier service such as UPS and occasionally by a Pallet service.
