Over the years, owners of Cyrus CD players have appreciated the difference our engineering principles can make to their listening pleasure. The CD Xt Signature is the very pinnacle of CD playback technology. Every instrument, every nuance of every recording is laid bare, with absolute clarity. Put simply – this is the best.
Our in-house designed mechanism extracts every ‘bit’ of music data with the lowest possible noise (using our proprietary ‘servo’ technology). The Xt Signature is a ‘transport’ with only digital outputs. It connects to either of our integrated amplifiers, or a dedicated pre-amplifier as part of an audio ‘separates’ system.
Our CD players are better because they generate far less background noise than most. We call this our SE or Servo-Evolution technology. The principle itself is quite simple. Usually the laser mechanism (servo) which reads the data from a disc makes tiny movements side to side quite quickly to re-read miss-read data – this creates ‘servo noise’ and that impacts the ‘noise-floor’ limiting the quality of the sound output.
The principal objective with our CD players is to extract the data on the disc as accurately as possible the first time – and that is only possible through some very careful design and calibration in both the hardware and software elements of the player.

Servo Evolution:
The new SE platform is quite different because it is specifically engineered to retrieve data from an audio CD with the fewest errors. To provide the ideal data output for hi-fi, Cyrus controls the whole electro-mechanical servo system to provide much better quality audio than has previously been possible with conventional drives.
Pure Transport Operation:
By removing the onboard DAC, the CD Xt Signature works purely as a digital transport. Removing additional circuitry allows the CD Xt Signature to focus purely on data retrieval and a high performance digital output.
Connectivity:
Optical and coaxial outputs provide connectivity to a variety of DAC’s. Our very best digital output stage has been engineered for the CD Xt Signature with signal re-clocking for extremely low jitter.
Precision Slot Loading Drive:
CD Xt Signature features the latest generation of our slot load CD technology. This quiet and low contact mechanism provides myriad benefits to the traditional tray method of loading a CD whilst also de-cluttering the front panel for an improved aesthetic.
Power Supply:
The CD Xt Signature features an over-specified linear power supply which provides isolation for precision parts of the circuit ensuring the most accurate reproduction possible.
