Speaker stands also need to provide a complete rigid, isolating support platform for the speaker to operate at the maximum performance possible. This can be achieved not only by the integrity of the speaker stand, i.e. the number of supporting columns but the engineering incorporated in to the design, such as the type and number of fixings or the built in specialist isolation acoustic steel or the quality and thickness of materials involved, 4mm oiled and pickled steel for superior surface finish or 4mm acoustic steel for resonance energy absorption and conversion.
The speaker stands designed and manufactured by Custom Design provide the perfect isolating solution for speaker cabinets. Speaker cabinets resonate; therefore the best possible isolation points would be the strongest part, i.e. the corners which is why Custom Design provide an optional standard range of top plate dimensions and also provide a custom made service, so our customers achieve the best possible listening experience and sound performance from their HiFi system.
The central columns are manufactured from ERW BS EN 10305-3 steel which can be easily mass loaded with our unique specialist dampening, void dissipating non-magnetic material, Inert Filler. The 4 satellite columns combine to provide a totally rigid speaker stand support. The performance improvements are substantial, especially to the dynamic range which seems more open and free compared to conventional central, mass loaded designs. Stereo imaging and precision timing bring more excitement to your listening experience all with an accurate and controlled bass performance. The KEF LS50 Speaker Stands are a serious alternative to the usual traditional option speaker stand design.
The satellite support columns are available in Black, White or Charcoal finish. The laser precision cut hand finished 4mm acoustic steel top plates and 4mm CR4 oiled and pickled steel base plates for a superior quality finish. Designed on the open frame principle to have the minimal effect on the performance of your speakers. The unique 5 column design provide a totally rigid isolating platform and solid foundation for our customers who demand a more exciting and dynamic performance from their KEF LS50 speakers.

The KEF LS50 Speaker Stand support columns are manufactured from ERW BS EN 10305-3 steel, and the centre support column can be mass loaded with our Inert Filler. The unique design includes a 4mm Acoustic open frame top plate and precision laser cut 4mm base plate designed by KEF, which combine to provide an isolated and rigid open frame principal speaker stand support with the ability to control and fine tune the bass frequency by mass loading the centre. The KEF LS50 Speaker Stand support range are available in KEF Black, KEF White and KEF Charcoal finish, supplied with easy access, Allen key adjustable, Zinc plated M8 base isolation spikes. The KEF LS50 Speaker Stand design provides a rigid and solid foundation for the LS50 passive speakers which require a minimal influence from their support for a dynamic performance.
Rigidity is proven integral design feature which improves sound performance. The Custom Design philosophy of multi column supports provides superior sound quality and performance over traditional single column support design speaker stands.

Shipping Rates

We calculate your shipping rate based on the total weight of your items and your delivery address. Standard shipping to the UK Mainland (excludes Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Channel Islands) is free, except where specifically indicated. Don't worry, you'll always see the final shipping charge displayed before you reach the payment step (on the checkout page).

Carriers

We despatch the bulk of our UK mainland items on a 24 hour service.  Non-Mainland locations – Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Scottish highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland may take a day or so longer. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail 24 or special delivery. Larger items are delivered using a courier service such as UPS and occasionally by a Pallet service.
