The compact disc format has been around long enough to include an enormous catalogue of music of all types, and to have become very affordable. Even the most evangelical devotee of music streaming will concede there’s plenty of life in the little silver disc yet. CXC will let you extract every last drop of musical enjoyment from your CD collection.
There’s absolute purity of purpose to CXC. It’s built to read the digital audio information on a CD with absolute, unerring accuracy, and then pass it on to a digital-to-analogue convertor (such as the extremely high-quality DACs found in Cambridge’s outstanding new CXA61 and CXA81 integrated amplifiers). Every CXC component is focused only on extracting every iota of information from the disc in its tray.
The disc drive in CXC was originally developed by Cambridge for its high-end 851C CD player. It’s Cambridge’s renowned ‘S3’ servo design, and it has class-leading levels of jitter rejection and error correction - no multi-purpose drive is able to compete with the CXC’s levels of precision and stability.

Shipping Rates

We calculate your shipping rate based on the total weight of your items and your delivery address. Standard shipping to the UK Mainland is free, except where specifically indicated. Carriers

We despatch the bulk of our UK mainland items on a 24 hour service.  Non-Mainland locations – Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Scottish highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland may take a day or so longer. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail 24 or special delivery. Larger items are delivered using a courier service such as UPS and occasionally by a Pallet service.
