Series 5 is where the Naim experience begins. It is the entry level to Naim and, we think, the entry level to real music in the home too.
Series 5 can trace a lineage back to Naim’s first integrated amplifier, the NAIT, launched in 1985. And as both Naim’s products and technologies have evolved, the NAIT, its successor the 3 Series, and now Series 5, have all expressed the leading-edge creativity of Naim’s designers.
The NAIT 5 is an example of both existing and new technologies. Its circuit design is derived from that of the awesome NAP 500 power amplifier, while at the same time it is the first Naim product to feature precision resistor ladder volume control – the amplifier equivalent of fly-by-wire technology in aircraft or electronic throttle control in racing engines.
While the NAIT was an expression of Naim engineering in a single-entry level amplifier, Series 5 is a complete system offering not just an integrated amplifier but a CD player, tuner, AV processor, preamplifier, power supply, and power amplifier. Each one is built in an elegant die-cast case worthy of far more ambitious products, and each one is a true expression of the Nairn philosophy to offer the best musical performance possible at the price.
But if your ambitions for music in the home reach higher, Series 5 is just a beginning. Even the most modest Series 5 system has the potential through logical and affordable upgrades to grow into a high-end Naim system that could be numbered among the best anywhere.
The best sounding and most functional Naim integrated amplifier ever built, the Nait 5 is the entry point to Naim. Housed in the superb low vibration cast aluminium chassis shared by all the Series 5 range, it combines cunning engineering solutions with style, flexibility and musicality.
The six-input preamplifier section incorporates discrete resistor ladders for volume and balance control that benefits sound quality, accuracy and the all-important user interface. The power amplifier circuit is a version of the design used in our flagship NAP 500 amplifier and endows the NAIT 5 with breathtakingly fast signal transition times and superb supply noise rejection.
The package is completed by circuit boards mounted on our unique decoupling pillars and the amplifier itself is supported on low-energy-transfer feet. NAIT 5 delivers music in an eloquent, invigorating and engaging manner.

Carriers

We despatch the bulk of our UK mainland items on a 24 hour service.  Non-Mainland locations – Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, the Scilly Isles, the Scottish highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland may take a day or so longer. Smaller items are delivered using Royal Mail 24 or special delivery. Larger items are delivered using a courier service such as UPS and occasionally by a Pallet service.
