The VRDS-7 also features TEAC’s unique V.R.D.S. a revolutionary advance in CD player performance. It uses a CD-sized overhead turntable made of a special high-molecular material (polyphenylene oxide) to support and stabilize the entire disc. The motor bridge assemblies have a hybrid construction (steel bridge and thermoplastic elastomer cover). The body and front panel feature high quality construction nearly identical to that of the VRDS-10.
Even though the VRDS-7 is more affordable than the other two models in this series, it uses much of the same advanced technology. Bitstream Conversion is a good example. This sophisticated player employs a 20-bit 8-times oversampling digital filter and Bitstream Differential Operation (SAA7350 x 2).
