Rega Planar 3 Turntable

The Rega Planar 3 is an absolute classic turntable with belt-drive and AC synchronous motor. Its features also include calibrated, spring-applied tracking force and magnetic bias compensation. Introduced in 1976, the original Planar 3 models came with the Acos derived R200 tonearm, but from 1983 the improved RB300 tonearm was fitted as standard. It wasn’t until 2000 and the arrival of the P3 that the design was changed, but you would be hard pressed to see the differences. Even the latest version introduced in 2016 still looks very similar to the classic Planar 3 we have here. It is in good condition noting a few blemishes particularly to the lid, and comes suitably packaged, with our classic three month warranty. It is supplied with an old but working Ortofon VMS 5E MkII cartridge, but as we have no knowledge on use of this item it is not covered by our warranty.
