The design brief for the new 2000i models was to improve on the award winning 2000 series. Given the performance of the previous models, that was never going to be easy, and the design team decided the only way to achieve this goal was to investigate and then exploit the very latest breakthroughs in materials technology. Put simply, the substantial sonic advances delivered by the new Q Acoustics 2000i Series loudspeakers are the result of extensive scientific research.
Visually striking in the Gloss Black or Gloss White finishes, the exquisitely proportioned 2050i is the flagship of the 2000i Series. Improved twin 165mm drivers deliver exceptional bass extension and midrange openness, whilst the new 25mm dome tweeter adds clarity and smooth detailed high frequencies. Performance is further enhanced, both sonically and aesthetically, by its integral steel plinth with ‘top configurable’ floor spikes. The flagship 2050i boasts ultra-low levels of distortion, typically found of speakers costing three or four times as much. Not surprisingly, as a result it delivers a sound quality unrivalled at its price.
