PMC Twenty 23 Floorstanding Speakers – Amarone

We have here a beautifully crafted pair of speakers from British loudspeaker specialists PMC (Professional Monitor Company Limited) who were founded back in 1991. The company began by building studio monitors and very quickly established themselves in this field, being used by many recording artists all over the world. They also found similar success when they branched out to build domestic loudspeaker systems. The pair of speakers we have here are in the Amarone finish, in good condition, just a small blemish on the top edge of one speaker, and come suitably packaged with grilles, spikes, plinths and our standard three month warranty.

Your first impression of the twenty.23 is of an open and engaging loudspeaker, its size defying both the depth of bass it can offer and the scale of its presentation — it takes any music or film material in its stride. The sound is vivid and dynamic and delivered with authority — with your eyes closed, the location of the speakers can be hard to determine. Such is the realism of the twenty.23’s sound. The isolated stabilising plinths de-couple the cabinet allowing greater stereo focus and tighter defined bass.
