Naim NAC 92 Pre Amplifier (1996)

Here we have a fine example of the classic “Olive” finish NAC 92 Preamplifier from British specialist NAIM Audio. Originally launched back in 1993 but even today this is still a very highly regarded preamplifier. Good overall cosmetic condition, with just a couple of minor blemishes, it comes with NA522/2 moving magnet boards fitted and will be professionally packaged along with our standard three month warranty.

The NAC 92 is the first preamplifier in our full width slimline case. It is designed to be used with the NAP 90 power amplifier as the first choice for a music enthusiast starting out with separate components. Careful circuit topology design results in a low noise floor and minimal distortion. Input facilities are comprehensive. Input One has RCA sockets, making it compatible with a wide range of source components and can be configured for moving magnet or moving coil cartridges quickly and simply. The remaining four inputs, two of which have full tape output and monitoring facilities, all utilise to quality lockable DIN sockets, offering a common signal ground for both channels to provide optimum performance. The NAC 92, like all Naim preamplifiers will accept the full output of any source without overloading. We house the power supplies for our preamplifiers in separate cases to avoid the degrading effects of magnetic fields and pay very special attention to both earthing and the type of input connector used.
