Naim HiCap Power Supply (2002)

Since almost when time began Naim, the specialist British Hi-Fi maker has extolled the virtues of power supplies when used with electronic components. This example of the HiCap 2, is in good fully working condition with some slight marking to the bottom edge of the fascia – please see photographs. It is supplied in original packaging with mains & SNAIC cables and like all our items a three month warranty is included.

It may be small, but the HiCap’s talent for maximising your system’s musicality should not be underestimated. A compact power supply partner for almost all of our preamplifiers plus our phono stages and active crossover components, its large toroidal transformer and generous, high-quality smoothing capacitors ensure excellent performance and value.
Each of the power outputs on the HiCap use Naim Audio’s specially designed discrete regulators for optimum performance. The HiCap is a dedicated dual 24V power supply designed for use with the CD5 XS CD player, NAC 282, NAC 202 and NAC 152 XS preamplifiers, and our SNAXO crossovers. Although some Naim power amplifiers provide adequate power supply to the partnering preamplifier, the use of a separate ultra-low-noise HiCap brings substantially increased musicality to the whole of the system. It can also be used to power our StageLine and SuperLine phono stages and the HeadLine headphone amplifier. In the case of the NAC 282 preamplifier a second HiCap may be used, bringing further improvements. The addition of anti-vibration, resonance-controlling feet complements the elegant new cast and extruded anti-magnetic chassis to protect the sensitive internal components from resonance and microphonic vibration.
