Naim Allae Floorstanding Speakers – Cherry

Here we have a nice pair of the two box Allae loudspeakers in cherry veneer from British Hi-Fi experts Naim Audio. They are in good condition, with a few minor blemishes, and a repair on one of the grilles – please see photographs. They will be supplied professionally packaged with manual, grilles, spikes and our standard three month warranty.

The Allae is based on our separate enclosure technology and includes enhancements that lift its performance significantly over the Intro 2. The bass/mid driver incorporates a more elaborate magnet and phase plug that offer lower distortion and higher power handling, while the tweeter is a version of the acclaimed Scanspeak D2 008 that first came to industry prominence in Naim’s ground-breaking SBL of 1985. The bass/mid cabinet sits neatly on Naim PIPs (Precision Interface Pins) mounted on the top face of the bottom cabinet. The tweeter is also isolated from enclosure borne vibration by a leaf-spring suspension array. The enclosure structure benefits from non-parallel walls, a gently curved top panel, internal tuned mass dampers and a decoupled cast aluminium plinth.
An externally mounted crossover pack not only provides performance advantages through mechanical isolation but also means that Allae upgrade choices extend to active operation with an electronic crossover and multiple power amplifiers. Like every Naim product its music-making is explicit, engaging and real; top performances being accessible regardless of the size or style of your listening room.
