Cyrus PSX-R2 Power Supply – Brushed Black

Cyrus is one of Britain’s best known Hi-Fi manufacturers, and here we have, in the company’s traditional “shoebox” casing, a nice example of its PSX-R₂ external power supply. In all reviews of Cyrus equipment, where this upgrade is used, it practically became a “must have” accessory! It is in very good condition with a slight blemish on the left corner and comes in original packaging with a manual, mains lead, plus our regular three month warranty.

The PSX-R₂ is an external power supply, which is designed to work with certain of our core hi-fi separates range – namely those products where the circuits have been designed in such a way to benefit from this addition and provide a fantastic upgrade path.

If you are going for a more even-handed system, the PSX-R₂ power supply is a nice addition that tidies up the performance of the Phono Reference but is hardly the kind of thing you must buy on pain of death. Making the Phono Reference a great £1,200 phono stage. On the other hand, if you are really going for it and slotting the Cyrus stage into one of those best-of-breed turntable systems, the PSX-R₂ becomes almost mandatory and the resulting £1,900 two-box phono stage is outstanding. This is something really special and comes very highly recommended!
