Here we have a 6XPd Integrated Amplifier from the experts at Cyrus. As always, this British company makes use of its standard half-width case as it packs in an integrated amplifier with DAC, and they both take advantage of a high quality power supply. Our unit comes in very good condition, with original packaging, remote control, manual, mains cable, and our regular three month warranty.

The Cyrus XP platform has been designed so that we can develop one main project and make several versions. The Cyrus 6 XP d benefits from all of the investment in the Pre XP model. Cyrus then grafted an updated version of their 2 x 40 watt power amplifier into the 6 XP d along with a new power supply to take advantage of new components that have recently become available. With these attributes the Cyrus Integrated 6 XP d is able to deliver remarkable performance for such an affordable amplifier. The new power supply design has improved the peak power output (190W peak power into a 1 Ohm load) allowing the resulting performance to compete favourably with many amplifiers of double its conservatively rated 40W RMS specifications. In addition, Cyrus 6 XP d owners have a wider upgrade path through returning the amp to Cyrus for a factory upgrade to either 8 XP d or ultimately the Pre XP d and a matching power amp. The front panel boasts a high quality LCD display that shows volume, the input selected and a set-up menu that allows you to configure your amplifier to work exactly the way that suits you.
The Cyrus 6 XP d power amplifier is based around a twin transformer power supply that allows separation of control systems and audio. Its ability to drive much higher quality loudspeaker is a clear advance compared to previous 6 series models. The high performance amplifier is based on the Cyrus 8 XP d and is factory upgradeable to the higher series model. Sharing technology with the Cyrus Integrated 8 XP d, the Cyrus Integrated 6 XP d is sonically voiced to match with the wide range of Cyrus power amps to allow customers to add a stereo amp and bi-amp loudspeaker that support this feature
The Cyrus power supply incorporates new components that allow the amplifier to consume less than one watt when in standby. The second transformer also allows us to separate sensitive low level analogue signals from digital and control systems. This results in worthwhile acoustic benefits that had not been possible in our previous designs plus cost and energy savings.
