The Chord Co. Say….
Chord Indigo Plus has been developed from the Chord Indigo, our most advanced cable design to date. Built to bring out the very best from today’s CD, DVD and SACD players and in response to the extended bandwidth speaker systems that are now available.
The design is unique and features a secondary signal return path, constructed from the same multi-stranded silver-plated oxygen free copper as the signal and primary return paths. These are surrounded by a Teflon™ dielectric and in the case of the signal and primary return paths, protected by a fully floating, triple layer shielding system, effective to extremely high frequencies.
Designed to produce the most accurate analogue signal transmission possible, the Indigo Plus will bring a new level of performance to any decent hi-fi or home cinema system and is available fitted with RCA, Din and XLR plugs.
Fully balanced XLR connections are appearing more frequently on the back of hi-fi and audio video equipment. Balanced XLR connections can offer some real advantages in terms of reducing signal altering interference. However, despite the inherent advantages of a balanced signal path, performance can be improved still further by the use of high quality cable. The high frequency shielding system fitted to the Indigo Plus and the unique construction method that Chord employ with the Indigo Plus XLR, make this a truly outstanding, fully balanced interconnect.
Features:
Tri-balanced conductor configuration
Fully floating high frequency shielding
Silver-plated XLR pin connections for single material signal path
Modified XLR casings avoid the use of impedance altering clamping systems
