Specialist Electronics maker Audiolab has undergone quite a few changes in its relatively short history. Not least of which was a period of ownership by TAG McLaren. Nowadays Audiolab is one of a number of former British brands owned by the IAG Group, based in China. Its aim these days is to create “well-engineered components that offer high performance sound quality and offer exceptional value” and the 8200CD CD Player is a perfect example of this. Our example is in the black finish and is in fair fully working condition noting a number of minor cosmetic blemishes – please refer to product photographs. It comes suitably packaged with remote control, manual, mains cable and of course has our usual three month warranty.

While most CD players are designed purely for CD playback, the award winning 8200CD has been created with flexibility firmly in mind. Their architecture is perhaps best described as a “DAC + CD”, rather than as a CD player in the traditional sense. Comprised of over 1700 components using precision SMT manufacturing on a 4 layer PCB, the Audiolab 8200CD is the most advanced electronic design in Audiolab’s impressive history.
