TEAC A-360 Cassette Deck

Here we have a classic 1970’s stereo cassette deck from TEAC. Our example of the A-360 is in very good condition for its age even coming supplied in its original box. Granted there are a couple of blemishes but the unit is around fifty years old, and apart from replacing the capstan belt and testing the unit we haven’t needed to do any major work to make sure it is in fully working condition. It also comes with our normal three month warranty.

The A-360 Stereo Cassette Deck integrates the latest technology in cassette transport mechanisms providing specifications for performance that rivals reel-to-reel machines. The basic transport is similar to that found in TEAC’s A-450 “revolutionary leader”, and overall design resembles the earlier A-350.
Separate Bias and Equalization are switched for each position for wider and much more flexible tape adaptability for updating performance. Dolby Noise Reduction system is more flexible for wider amplitude ranges with a switchable multiplex (MPX) filtering and by externally adjustable recording level calibration referencing to Dolby Level for each position of the BIAS/EQ switches. Index-counter Memory Rewind function is also provided for the user and a removable head access panel facilitates head maintenance. Standard TEAC features such as end of tape electronic auto stop function, PEAK-LED indicator, INPUT Selector, REC Indicator lamp and a TAPE RUN indicator are included. The deck also employs Dolby Playback Level Calibration capability for the precise input-and-output signal alignment.
