Here we have an example of Rega’s classic P3-24 turntable. Over the years little looks to have changed but dig a little deeper and each new model from this specialist British company gets some very important tweaks and upgrades. In simple terms this particular model would be perfect for someone wanting a little more than the typically basic, budget turntable. This deck is in good fully working condition with one small mark on the right hand side of the plinth – please refer to photographs. It comes complete with the RB301 tonearm, Exact MM Phono Cartridge, optional TTPSU power supply upgrade and will be professionally packaged along with our usual three month warranty. Please note that as we have no exact knowledge on the age or amount of use of the cartridge, it is not covered by our warranty.

The all new Rega P3-24 turntable has been designed to effectively reproduce music whilst being easy to use. We have gone back to basics and omitted all the usual gimmicks; concentrating the manufacturing costs on the high quality and design necessary to reproduce records accurately. The new plinth, while being slim and attractive, offers high levels of rigidity through the use of phenolic-resin laminates. The material is completely non-resonant and is a considerable improvement over past designs. The same high quality drive belt, main bearing and glass platter are carried over from the previous designs. This combination has resulted in one of the most iconic turntables of all time.
Using a manual speed change (for the odd occasion you may want to play a 45 RPM record) rather than an automatic mechanism, eliminates speed inconsistencies and possible damage to
the drive belt. The money we save with this method is spent on an expensive motor with a lower vibration level than any we know. The P3-24 uses the same high-quality low-vibration motor, which is used in the P5 & P9 turntables. The clever controlling circuitry can be adjusted for the phase angle of the motor coils resulting in very low vibration levels from the motor assembly.

The RB-301 Tonearm
The famous RB-300 has been significantly modified to deliver a greater musical performance. An improved vertical bearing housing has been used, which gives improved rigidity in the tonearm mounting. This reduces the stress on the main bearings. The RB-301 also includes the improved RB-700 bias housing and phono cable.

The Exact is the top tier of Rega’s handmade moving magnet range of cartridges.
